Josh Janes is a Newfoundland and Labrador-born country singer-songwriter emerging as one of Atlantic Canada's rising country artists. Rooted in Labrador and now active across Atlantic Canada's music scene, Janes is known for his storytelling-driven country sound, blending honest songwriting with energetic live performances and an independent work ethic. His sound is inspired by modern country artists like Morgan Wallen and Josh Ross, alongside the East Coast storytelling of Alan Doyle.

A 2026 MusicNL nominee for Fan Choice Entertainer of the Year and Country Artist of the Year, Janes continues to gain recognition as one of the province's emerging country artists. In 2026, he showcased at the East Coast Music Awards (ECMAs), completed a nine-date Newfoundland and Labrador tour supporting his EP Needle In A Haystack, and released multiple singles and music videos alongside a sold-out EP release show. Janes has independently sold out numerous ticketed full-band headline shows, demonstrating a growing audience and strong ticket-selling ability across Atlantic Canada.

His festival appearances include the East Coast Music Awards (2026), Gobblefest in Cape Breton (2025), Showcase On Da Rock in Newfoundland (2025 & 2026), and Ribfest Halifax (2024 & 2025). His music is currently receiving airplay on CBC Labrador Morning, CBC Gander, CBC Sydney – Mainstreet Cape Breton, Eastlink Community TV, Caper Radio, Off Da Rock Radio (98.5 FM), BayFM (100.1), Scoffs & Scuffs, New Country 97.1 FM & 98.9 FM, and the East Coast Top 30 on CIOE 97.5 FM. He has also performed on the Janeway Children's Telethon, further highlighting his growing presence across the province.

Alongside his success on stage and radio, Janes has built a steadily growing online audience through consistent releases and engaging live performances. His current single Miss Me continues to expand his reach, while Hometown Pride (Classic) remains his most successful release to date, helping establish his presence in the Canadian country music scene.
